Creating Inventions / Delivering Innovation

In the workshop, the participants will learn:
  • The differences between inventing and innovating
  • Characteristics of inventiveness and innovation
  • How to be more inventive and more innovative
We will investigate past inventions and innovations.  What made them successful?  Or, why did they fail?

The workshop will guide us through the process of creating new inventions and new innovations for a selection of example situations.

There are two versions of this workshop.
  1. In the Concurrency version of this worshop, the example situations studied are focused on software development for concurrent processing.   They assume that attendees are familiar with modern computer programming languages, such as C++ or Java.
  2. In the General version of this workshop, the example situations are very broadly aimed.  They are suitable for anyone interested in starting a new business or developing a new product, or just curious about how to be a little more inventive and/or innovative.
The workshop lasts about one hour.  It is presented live and every one is different, based on the feedback and direction coming from the inventive and innovative minds in the audience.
