Excellent FREE book on the hardware aspects of multi-threading.
This short book is focused on Freescale's chips but applicable to other hardware. Good introduction to design decisions for SMP vs AMP. Also, excellent
descriptions of cache issues. Should be required reading for anyone
selecting embedded processors but also useful background information for those
using off-the-shelf hardware.
